

Located in the township of Moculta in the Barossa Valley, Small Bird Studio is the working studio and exhibition space of contemporary artist Kane Dyer. Visitors are invited to view original artworks in a relaxed, personal setting, often alongside works in progress, offering insight into the creative process.
Kane was born in Christchurch, New Zealand in 1970 and relocated to South Australia in 2014. He graduated with honours from the University of Canterbury School of Fine Arts and has worked as a contemporary artist for several decades. Kane has been a finalist in numerous major art awards, including the Anthony Harper Contemporary Art Award, James Wallace Art Award, Visa Gold Art Award, Cranleigh Barton Drawing Award, and The Advertiser Contemporary Art Award. His work has been represented by contemporary dealer galleries across New Zealand and is held in the Wallace Arts Trust collection.
